After several years of making custom steel fire tables in Boise, Idaho, Impact Imports developed standard designs to help maintain product quality and increase availability. The essence of the product is a modern, industrial, heavy duty appearance and the company offers powder coated steel models (Raven Black and Brown) as well as fully stainless steel models which are hand brushed and powder coated clear for a finish similar to that of a car.
When the project design discussion first began, the company started with a standard coffee table height of 20" and then added the stainless steel firebox to the top of the table. The fire ‘floats’ above the table top and the design of the firebox prevents the table surface from getting hot. Drinks or plates of food are fine sitting on the fire table top. Next, the company focused on a simple 'modular' design. The frame, table top, access door and propane tank holder are one piece and the side panels are added when an order is placed by a customer. The side panels are mostly salvaged and reclaimed steel from family businesses located in southern Idaho. The popular raw steel side panels are rusty and rugged looking, while a salvaged corrugated side panel is a close second in sales. A 'silver vein' colored powder coated side panel is the other option currently available, while Cor-Ten Steel side panels will appear in production in the spring of 2019. When ordering, customers choose to burn natural gas or propane and the end result is a design which is modern and industrial looking.
Optional accessories are also available: Tempered glass wind guards, polyester covers (khaki, charcoal and black colors), stainless steel firebox covers (or steel firebox covers powder coated to match your fire table) and caster wheels (to easily move your IMPACT Fire Table around your deck or patio.
Beginning spring 2019, Impact Imports will offer a new design of theirs: Natural Stone Gas Fire Pits hand crafted from a single piece of real andesite (basalt) stone, and they will be the only natural stone fire pit on the market.
